Nailbourne Community Foundation
Barham Village Store is run by volunteers for the benefit of the community, and to enable this to happen, the Nailbourne Community Foundation, a registered charity was created so that an agreed proportion of surplus profits can then be allocated to the foundation. These funds are then used to support local residents and community projects.
In recent months, the Foundation has provided much needed funding for Barham Youth Football Club, Nailbourne Scout Group, Barham Allotment Association and annual Pensioners’ Lunch. Other applications are in the pipeline.
If you know of anyone in our neighbourhood who is looking for funding for a project or financial assistance please get in touch with the Nailbourne Community Foundation about a funding application on 01227 832918 or NCF@gmail.com
Young people, leaders and families at Nailbourne Scout Group were delighted to receive a donation from the Nailbourne Community Foundation, match funding money raised in our recent car wash. We are a rapidly expanding group who currently support young people aged 6-14 in Barham and the surrounding area to develop skills and values for life whilst experiencing fun and adventure and helping others. It was fantastic to work in partnership with Barham Village Stores on the day of our carwash and the kind donation will make a very meaningful difference to the activities we can offer our members going forward. We are currently planning our autumn group camp and will now be able to invest in a much needed dinning shelter. With kindest regards and thanks in Scouting, Nick Gore (Skip) – Group Scout Leader (Nailbourne Scout Group)
