British Pie Week 6th – 12th March 2017
British Pie Week started in 2007 to get more people to eat pastry however it is now Britain’s main celebration of all things pie! The British Pie Awards have even changed their awards to run alongside this homage to a truly British favourite.
All our pies are supplied by Kentish firm Kentish Mayde, based in Biddenden. Since 2001 this family run firm has been supplying savoury and sweet pies to the local area and even a premier league football club! To maintain the quality of their pies, all the meat is butchered by their own skilled team of butchers which has resulted in over 20 British Pie Awards. Found in the freezer section, we have various sizes of pies and a selection of fillings.
Of course pies are not all made with pastry – what about making your own fish pie or cottage pie? We have local potatoes from Provenance Potatoes (Desiree give the best results for mash) and local mince from Chandler and Dunn.
