Looking back for a moment, we had another busy December with sales reaching the highest monthly figure since March 2020. The top 3 product purchases from most to least were fresh fruit and veg (1,352 items), Wilmshurst’s small loaves (426 items) and Mr Dolby’s free range large eggs. And of course we sold thousands of 1st and 2nd class stamps as well as smashed our target for special delivery parcels. Thank you so much for all your custom.
Chinese New Year, the year of the tiger, is celebrated on the 1st February and we have lots in your local store to tempt you into some homemade Chinese cooking. Blue Dragon noodles both fine and medium; Tilda white rice; Kikkoman soy sauce including a low salt option; Uncle Ben’s sweet & sour sauce; fresh chillis, fresh ginger, spring onions, peppers and fine beans, all great for stir fries.
Looking for something special for Valentines Day, 14th February? Then look no further.
We have plenty available to choose from by local suppliers: Valentines cards from Hill View Cottage Art; a fine range of sparkling wines including Simpsons Canterbury Rose, Simpsons Blanc de Blanc, Manor Wines Jules Larose Blanc de Blancs and Chapel Down Sparkling Rosé and Still Rosé; flowers from South East Flowers; toiletries including Annie Brown Pinot Noir soap, Kentish Honey soap and dried lavender bags, Romney Marsh Wools shower gel and bath soap and Altruist face fluid and moisturiser. There is also a range of boxed chocolates including Belgid’Or Truffles, Lindt Lindor Milk and Assorted Truffles and Summerdown Mint Chocolate selection. Happy Valentines!

We are delighted to have the takeaway coffee service up and running again having purchased a replacement machine. A new machine is a large investment but recognising how much this service is valued by customers, we went ahead. Freshly ground coffee available now at just £1.95 per cup! (Image taken pre Covid)
