Summer is at an end and many of you will be preparing your children for the new school year. With the rush to get everything organised, don’t forget that the shop has a variety of stationery available to help them on their way. From pencils and pens to post it notes and correction fluid to note books and blocks of paper for printing, it’s amazing just how much we have right here in the village.

Sourdough bread has become popular with many households starting to make it for themselves. If home baking isn’t for you, we have a range of sourdough breads available sourced from Faversham based Wild Bread Bakehouse. Sourdough bread has known digestive health benefits and is also lower in gluten than other forms of bread. We also have a broad range of gluten free products in store spread across the shelves. If you need something specific, let us know and we’ll do our best to help.

On Friday 24th September we will be hosting a World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Having a Coffee Morning is the perfect chance to catch up over a cuppa and a slice of something delicious for a great cause. One in two of us will face cancer at some time in our lives and the money we raise will help people with cancer to live life as fully as they can. We hope you’ll be able to attend our fund raising event. Watch out in store and on social media for more details to come.

It’s wonderful to have the coffee machine service up and running again and to have been able to extend the opening hours for the shop and post office, now open until 17:30 Monday to Friday.

Huge thanks to all new and existing volunteers who have made it all happen!
